The Head of Inclusion will pledge his/her commitment to help the school achieve its mission, goals, and vision; value community; bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to take thoughtful initiative in a collaborative setting. She/he will work with students who need extra support to fulfil their potential and gifted students and should be committed to further the intellectual and personal development of students, inspiring and empowering them to become positive, active global citizens. The Head of Inclusion will be supporting the admissions and registration for any new students. Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to focus on the student’s strengths and weaknesses and outlines the steps necessary to ensure that lessons will help to improve priority areas. Effectively manage student groups, while providing for a variety of learning styles, ability levels, and educational backgrounds. Evaluates, record, and reports student’s progress and development through a standardized the assessment tools. Ensure that a high-quality curriculum meets the needs of students of all abilities. Develop and monitor assessment procedures compatible with the school policy and statutory requirements. Run appropriate assessments that are aligned with the curriculum, assessment criteria, and the school vision and mission. Ensure that teachers share MAP Goal sheet with students, allocate time for assessment reflection, and use CAT4 data for differentiation. Compare students’ performance in internal and external assessments then design an action plan to bridge the gap. Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate and get the best out of others and foster a common sense of purpose, shared vision, and sense of mission within the department. Provide support and advice to teachers relating to their classroom management strategies and professional tasks. Actively support and adhere to the Child Protection Policy, including attending annual training. |
